The draws of both the Africa Youth Championship and Africa U/17 cadet Championship was held at the CAF head quarters in Cairo on Sunday morning and Nigerian teams were drawn in the same group as the host of both tournament.

The Africa cadet championship which will be staged by Niger from the 15th of February to 1st of March 2014 saw eight teams grouped in to two groups. The Golden Eaglets are in Group A- Niger, Nigeria, Guinea, Zambia while Group B has Côte d'Ivoire, South Africa, Mali, Cameroon
The Africa Youth Championship slated for Senegal from the 8th of March to 22nd. In Group A- Senegal, Nigeria, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire while in Group B: Ghana, South Africa, Mali and Zambia will do battle.
