  • Adewale Savour Super 4 Experience With Seasiders

    Former First Bank Football Club of Lagos forward, Alimi Adewale Sikiru relishes his Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Super 4 experience with Warri Wolves.
    The Warri based side was part of the six teams that participated at the just concluded Super 4 invitational tournament in Abuja with two national teams, the Dream Team VI and the high Flying Eagles.

    Paul Aigbogun's men didn't put up a fine performance at the tournament, they managed two wins from five matches but there's one player who could not but savour his moment with the team after his team finished 6th from the tourney ahead of Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt who failed to nick a point from the pre-season games.
    Adewale shared his experience with BFCNews in an exclusive chat on Tuesday recounting the short time he had with the CAF champions league campaigner.
    "Honestly, I feel very honoured and greatful because it's a great opportunity for anyone to have.
    "It's a dream come through though playing  on a big stage like the Super 4.
    "Throughout the tournament I was always thanking Almighty Allah and our crew for the opportunity, it was a great moments playing with and against the big boys of Nigeria football, the likes of Udoji, Abawula,Atuloma, Obiozor, Pyagbara, Mosquito, Egbeta, Stanley Dimgba to mention but a few", he told BFCNews.
    The Osun born striker added that Warri Wolves is a great team with talented players, he then gave glory to God and kudos to his team mates and anticipated that Wolves would be a team to beat this season.
    "Wolves  is a great team with lots of talented players, I give glory to God and kudos to my team mates, ever since I joined the group they have made me feel at home am so happy because that has really helped me a lot.
    "So we have mingled and jeeled pretty well and am really anticipating a good season because Wolves would be a team to beat this season with the quality of players we have now," the sharp striker exclusively told BFCNews.
    Sikiru scored three goals at the Super 4 invitational tournament, and emerged as second top scorer while Kano Pillars front man tops the scorers chat with four goals from five matches.
