Giwa FC is a Nigerian football club based in Jos, Plateau state. The club is owned and solely financed by Chris Giwa.

Founded in 2011, Giwa FC debut in the
2011/2012 season of Nigeria National League (NNL) a second level league in Nigeria but lost the promotion battle to Nasarawa United in the abridge league in 2011/2012. They came back in 2012/2013 season with a strong desire to secure promotion.
By the end of 2012/2013 season the Jos based team met their target of playing at the highest level of league football in Nigeria.
The apex league in Nigeria, the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) will welcome Giwa FC of Jos when the league kicks off in 2014
The coach of the team, Abudallahi Abidemi Biffo in a chat with Footyalert said the target of the team this season is to secure a continental ticket.
"Though we are debutant in the NPL but the teams in the league should expect a surprise package from us. Our target this season is to secure a continental ticket,"said Biffo.
Fans in Jos will have a feel of two leagues next season as Plateau United and Mighty Jets of Jos will feature in the Nigeria National League (NNL) while Giwa FC will feature in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL).

I pitty all these private owned clubs because when the financier can not cope with the financial demands the clubs suffers. the private owned clus will enjoy football in this coutry if only the league board does it right
