  • Lagos Junior League: Weekend Match Review

    League leaders Surulere Sport City FC put Ajeromi Ifelodun to the sword at the Alade Stadium on Saturday, Michael Chibueze opened scoring for Surulere just 14 minutes into the match, Oyeamachi Daniel increased the lead 18 minutes later.

    The Ajeromi side was clueless most of the match and struggled with
    the pace of the match. The Second
    half didn’t bring succur for the Ajegunle side as Surulere sealed the match two minutes from time through Fadeyi Sunday.

    It was goal fest at Legacy Stadium on Saturday when Agege Giants hosted Apapa Iganmu Fc, it took only 30 seconds for the game to come alive, Obong John put Apapa Iganmu ahead through a power shot from 18 yards out. Obong John continued to torment the Agege side and put his side two goals up in the 32nd minute. The second half saw a rejuvenated Agege side attack with a vengeance, Steven Odey brought his side back into contention just one minute after restart, two minutes later Musa Kareem scored the eqaulizer.

     Apapa Iganmu shot themselves in the foot when Emmanuel Kadiri brought down an Agege player in the area, he got a red card for his effort. Awoniyi Adebisi converted the resulting penalty to put Agege one goal up. Steven Odey buried the game with his second goal two minutes into added time.
