•Podoh started his romance with the "White Lions" over a year ago when he showed up for trials at C.O.D. United for a place in the club's U 16 side. A trial which involved over 200 people saw Podoh, picked amongst the final 20.
Since then, the talented forward hasn't looked back as he went on with C.O.D united's U- 16's to the Lisboa cup in Portugal and caught the eyes of everyone there, racking up five goals as C.O.D went all the way to the quarter finals.
On his return from Portugal, Podoh continued his education and the player, Ismaila who was then in Senior Secondary School (S.S.S. 2) student of Bishop Powell Grammar school, did well to combine his school work and football career.
Podoh scored five goals at 2012 annual Adefemi Olubayo National Championship for U-17's as C.O.D United led by the coach, Solomon Manasseh emerged as the winners.
From there on, Podoh and alongside three of his team mates from the winning side, Tunde Akinsemuye, Nancel Tali and Kalu Awo got promoted to the first team.
