The chairman of Giwa Football Club of Jos, Amb. Chris Giwa has suspended the head coach of his team, Abdullahi Biffo and his assistant, Patrick Ozoh.
The Marketing Director of the club, Sammy Adesoji told Footyalert in a chat that the chairman took the decision based on the performance of the team.
Abdullahi Biffo who was
recalled back to the team in the second stanza of the Nigeria National League last season guided the team to secure promotion to the Premier League. While in charge, Giwa FC won their first match at home against Rangers Int'l, lost on the road to Warri Wolves and also recorded two draws at home against Premier League defending champions, Kano Pillars and NPL debutant, Abia Warriors.
"I didn't just wake up overnight to suspend the coaches, its just that the out put of the team does not reflect all the huge investment I pour into this team,"said Chris Giwa.
Amb. Giwa,who was once the chairman of both Mighty Jets and Plateau United said the management of the team have also been dissolved. Both the goalkeepers' trainer,Aminu Musa and the Marketing Director,Sammy Adesoji will tinker the team when Giwa FC play their rescheduled week 2 match against Dolphins in PortHarcourt on Wednesday.
The Elephants are 17th on the log with 5 points after 4 matches.
