Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) debutant, Giwa FC have left their Rayfield camp on Friday morning ahead of their second match in the elite league. The Elephant had to endure a tough session this season after they were suspended by the League Management Company for not meeting up with basic requirement to participate in the NPFL.
However the 2012/2013 Nigeria National League champions, Giwa FC have
since put that tough period behind them with an encouraging 1:0 home victory at the Rwang Pam stadium Jos against NPFL big boys, Enugu Rangers.
The PRO of Giwa FC, Yemi Matthew confirmed to Footyalert that the 'Elephant' left their Rayfield camp this morning to keep a date with Warri Wolves in a week 5 NPFL fixture on Sunday, 6th of April 2014 at the Warri City stadium. The club's mouth piece said the team is in high spirit and basking in the euphoria of their mid week victory against the Flying Antelopes from Enugu.
No doubt, Warri Wolves will do all they can to pick the maximum point after losing out on the continent and still went back home empty handed when they visited Kano during the week in a rescheduled match against Kano Pillars.
The determined Giwa FC left Jos in their new Toyota coasta Bus and a Galaxy space bus.
"The team left Jos in the newly unveiled Toyota coasta bus and a galaxy space bus for the technical crew," Matthew said.
