Prime Football Club missed good opportunity to secure their first away victory on Saturday against Unicem Rovers Football Club of Calabar, as the team missed four glaring chances to bury the game in the first half.

Hopes were high coming into the Prime squad, after a good run in-form in recent weeks. And despite a number of changes in the
starting line-up they were still able to field a high level playing side.

The Omoluabi Giants made a strong start to the game quickly finding themselves and they could not capitalized on some good forward play in the most part of first half.

Prime attacker, Ifeanyi Emmanuel missed hatful of chances in front of goal, as highly fancied Waheed Popoola, created lots of scoring chances in the game but, Emmanuel was shy in front of goal and one penalty appeal was turned down.

Unicem Rovers midfielder, Eso Achibong, scored the consolatory goal, via a 70th minute free-kick.

Coach Abimbola Samuel, while speaking through the club media officer, Tunde Shamsudeen, rue his sides missed chances to Unicem Rovers defeat stating that it could have been a different story had his side converted their opportunities.

"It was painful we lost the game, we had our chances but, failed to convert them and teams who do not make the most of their scoring opportunities end up paying for it," he stated.

"We missed glorious chances that would have kept us in the game, but we're wasteful in front of goal. We attacked so well and I believe we should have won the game, but I must commend the officiating officials, this is one of the best officiating we have gotten at away."

Prime will on Wednesday welcome Remo Stars and Coach Abimbola, recognized the importance of the game; "We just have to beat Remo Stars to regain our confidence, that is not going to be easy, but victory against Remo Stars is the goal now and everyone knows that."
