With just five matches to go in the 2012/2013 Nigeria Premier League (NPL) season, Premier League new boys, Crown FC of Ogbomoso have set preparation plans for their come back to the Apex football league in Nigeria.
The management of the Ajilete Boys have announced 25th September 2013 as resumption date for their players to report back to camp. In a chat with Crown FC media officer, Oyekunle Oyeleke, the team is getting things done this early because their plan is to make a positive impact next season.
"You know it's just five matches left in the current season, that means within the next five weeks at most this season will come to a close. Our plan is to meet our set target for next season and it will only be wise to set the preparation ball rolling" said Oyekunle.
The ever passionate Ogbomoso fans will have to hope that the state government who are the sole sponsor of Crown FC give Soun stadium, the home ground of the Ajilete Boys a face lift to host NPL matches. The stands are always filled each time the darling team of Ogbomoso play at the Soun stadium.
According to a statement from the management of Crown FC, the club will welcome the involvement of private individuals and companies again just like we experienced last season while featuring in the
Nigeria National League (NNL). It will be recalled that Nest Hotel Management encouraged the club and also contributed immensely to making sure the team play at Ogbomoso.
Oyekunle who sounded so optimistic in a telephone chat said, fans of Crown FC will also have an opportunity to invest in the club by buying a replica shirt of the club which will be unveiled soon.
