Union De Douala Supporters Hopeful Of A Win In Warri 2013 Federations Cup finalist Warri Wolves might be served with a surprise performance by Union De Douala of Cameroon as both teams meet at the Warri City stadium in a CAF Confederations Cup second leg match after the Seasiders ran away with an emphatic 2-3 win in Cameroon in the first leg. Some supporters of the Cameroonian club who came with team also expressed confidence that Union De Douala will beat Warri Wolves to qualify for the next round. The fans who spoke in not too good English as the few ones that spoke to SL10 in Warri on Saturday tried to express their feelings as they make some interesting demonstration. " Your team (Warri Wolves) beat us in Cameroon, good for them but the battle is not yet over because we are here to beat your team too. Another fan also said as he swing Douala's banner shouting up Douala, " my team will win 1-0 just prepare for an upset," Mean while, Warri Wolves spokes man, Moses Etu has lead the campaign to invite fans to come and filled the Warri City stadium to play the role of the 12th player that will cheer the Seasiders to victory. "Warri Wolves will host Union De Douala FC on Sunday, March 9th at the Warri City Stadium. We want the fans to be the 12th player, just like what we saw in Douala, Cameroon," said Moses. The second leg match will kick off today by 4pm Nigerian time.

After two private owned clubs, Nembe City and Giwa FC were suspended from the Nigeria Professional Football league for not meeting up with the necessary requirement set by the LMC the league finally kicked off with two debutant, FC Taraba from Jalingo and Abia Warriors from Umuahia playing at home against Nasarawa United and Kaduna United respectively.

Though the Umuahia township stadium turf didn't look too good but the fans at the stadium were proud to see Premier league football in a stadium where the highest league they've seen before now
    is the Nigeria National League.

The Ochendo Babes highest goal scorer last season in the NNL, Chisom Chikatara entertained the fans with his regular runs and leg overs as he got a volley at the early stage of the match that nearly resulted into a goal.

Chima Uluocha got the first goal from the penalty spot as the visitors goal keeper,Rabin Hussaini brought Ifeanyi Onyeali down while ex- Gombe. United striker Bishop Onyeudo came in from the bench to score the second goal for Abia Warriors.

Else where FC Taraba got a slim lone goal victory against Nasarawa United which was enough to secure the maximum point for the NPFL debutant.
