    A- A+

I didn't see all the matches in the Lagos FA Cup 2014 even though all the matches are played at the new look Agege stadium.

As a fan I ought to support one of the teams passionately but instead I chose to see quality football. I learned that 39 teams registered for the
Lagos FA Cup and it's interesting to note that a few of the teams have been knocked out while some will definitely go home in the round of 16 too.

I saw Fame FC play against Ambek FC, the first and only match that was played on Friday. I recalled that Fame FC knocked City of David United Football Club out of the 2012 edition on penalties and still recalled that they were also knocked out on penalties at the quarter final stage by MFM FC. I guess it was easy for me to tip Fame FC this time around over Ambek FC who aren't featuring in any league. As expected the match ended Fame 3-1 Ambek.

Bridge FC Vs Teslim Thunder Balogun.
    21/04/2014
    Kick off: 7:30am
    Agege stadium

In the second match, I think that should be the toughest fixture in the round of 16. Bridge FC of Lagos against Teslim Thunder Balogun. Bridge FC at some point played in the Nigeria National League (a second tier league in Nigeria) before they pulled out of the NNL in 2012 while Teslim Thunder Balogun play in the state league. Patrick Udoh who was part of Bridge FC technical crew has left the Lagos team for Akwa United where is doing a good job.

Both teams played out a one all draw at the same stage in 2013 edition but Bridge FC won on penalties. Need I say that TTB FC who are representing Ikorodu were first runners up at the Eko Football league but they will debut in the Nigeria Nationwide League (NNWL) division two that is scheduled to kick off in May 2014.

The heavy rain on Friday didn't allow both teams to continue the second half but as mentioned by the Lagos FA the match will continue on Monday 21st of April. Bridge FC already have a goal but i was astonished to see TTB FC show a lot of respect to Bridge FC. If I have an opportunity to predict before now, I would have said both teams will play a score draw and TTB FC will knock Bridge FC out on penalties but as it is right now I expect TTB FC to score two more goals on Monday since they now have a chance to re-strategize. Bridge FC will definitely be confident with that lead. Final score: Bridge 1-2 TTB FC.

    Christ Ambassador Vs First Bank.
    21/04/2014
    Kick off: 9am
    Agege

I won't say much about this match but I expect First Bank FC to stroll over Christ Ambassadors. Final score: First Bank 3-0 Christ Ambassador.

    Collins Edwin  Vs LSDPC FC
    21/04/2014
    Kick off: 11am
    Agege

LSDPC FC this season were the second runners up in the just concluded Eko Football League. They got to the semi final stage in 2013, a disciplined team that builds its attack from the rare and also keeps the ball so well look the likely team to nick this one against a Collins Edwin FC that feature in a private league where they are locked in the relegation zone. Final score: LSDPC 3-1 Collins Edwin.

    Samvic FC Vs MFM FC
    21/04/2014
    Kick off: 1pm
    Agege

Samvic FC looks like the surprise package in 2014 Federation Cup but have they gotten to their final bus stop? I will say no! This team is packed with young talents who can run for 120 minutes, no doubt it looks like an upset might be recorded here. Yes, MFM were finalist last year but they have struggled in the Federation Cup this year. Final score- Samvic 4-3 MFM.

    COD United Vs Clique Sports.
    22/04/2014
    Kick off: 8am
    Agege

Personally I feel COD Utd will go through but the White Lions of Lagos will only grind out the needed result against Clique Sports. Final score- COD Utd 1-0 Clique Sports.

Note - Yobo FC will play against AS Racine while NATH Boys will play against Magate FC. Both matches will take place at the Agege stadium on the 27th of April 2014.
