The current top scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Bright Ejike has thanked his teamates for his goal scoring abilities in the league after he notched his 8th goal of the season against Sharks FC of Portharcourt in Match Day 14 of the 2014/2015 NPFL Season.
" I have to thank everybody in my team because only me i cannot do it alone, i believe it was a team work," Ejike stated
He also added that he will be with Heartland for the remainder of the season.
" Yes, in the sense of Nigeria league, if you look very well you note that they are all the same, i believe i want to remain with Heartland for this season, I hope for something positive before the end of the season"
When asked if Heartland can make it to the continent, he said " yes of course i believe we have the quality, all we need is to stay focused and continue to work as a team. Ejike concluded
