  • Enyimba,Heartland In NPFL Oriental Derby

    Enyimba Int'l (Aba)  will trade tackle with Heartland FC (Owerri) in a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week 12 fixture tagged 'the Oriental Derby' billed to take place at the Enyimba Int'l Stadium, Aba on Wednesday June 17,2015.

     This will be the first clash between both sides this season as they look to consolidate their position on the  table. The clash between both teams is regarded as one of the biggest fixture in the NPFL.

    Both Enyimba Int'l and Heartland FC have met 22 times in the league and the People's Elephant have had the upper hand with ten wins compared to Heartland's five wins.

    Enyimba are placed third on the league table with 19 points from eleven matches, they are yet to lose at home and brags with an impressive two away wins this season while their visitors have also secured two vital wins  on the road but they are yet to explain how they lost twice at home. The Naze Millionaires are 
     placed fifth on the log with 18
    points from eleven matches.

    Going into the all important Derby in Aba, the Owerri based team, Heartland FC will be basking in the euphoria of having scored the highest number of goals this season with a total number of 17 goals  and their star man Bright Ejike has scored six goals so far, one behind leading top scorer Chisom Chikatara who has seven goals.

    Enyimba Int'l, one of the biggest club in Nigeria have continued to pick vital points on the road and hopes to maintain an impressive home record. Though the visitors from Owerri may be high on confidence after an impressive 4-1 victory at home against Bayelsa United but the news about the suspension of their head coach, Erasmus Onuh may pose a threat to the team's performance in Aba.
