  • Prime Defeat Warri Wolves in Federation Cup

     Prime Football Club continue their good run in the Federation Cup as they defeated Nigeria Premier League side, Warri Wolves Football Club at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja.

     The Omoluabi Giants progressed to the Round of 16 with a 4-2 win on penalties after the full time ended 0-0.

     The Nigeria Premier League gain possession of the first stanza with the National League side giving Wolves so much respect and they were unable to convert the chances they created.

     Prime came into the second half with more determination and dominated much of the second stanza but lacked a cutting edge to convert chances.

     Wolves substitution gave them more attacking power but the disciplined Omoluabi Giants wards proved too strong.

     The both sides commend the match officials led by centre referee, Ishiaku Ibrahim.

     Prime will lock horn against First Bank in the round of 16 in a yet to be decided date and venue.
