Players of Dolphins FC met with the Chief of Staff of the Rivers State Government House in Port Harcourt on Wednesday to discuss payment of their sign on fees pending since last season.

The club had paid back log of match bonuses last week but with the
signing on fees not paid, the players tried to seek audience with the state governor.

The players used Wednesday morning to visit government house as there was no training fixed for the day.

Since it was an unscheduled visit their request to see the governor was not granted but the Chief OF Staff, Tony Okocha met with them.

“We understand the situation and I have told them that their requests will be taken care of as soon as possible,” Okocha said as he left the players.

Captain of the side, Sunday Rotimi had insisted that they wanted all back log sorted out before the Federation final which the Chief of Staff promised to do after deliberating with the governor.

Well, we are happy with the discussion,” Rotimi said.

“The outcome was not too bad and we have to respect him since he came here to represent the governor.”

Victor Ezuruike added that they agreed on something and they will return to the government house in two weeks as a reminder.
