Prime Football Club 2-0 victory against Ekiti United saw them move out of the Nigeria National League’s relegation zone.

Prime moved out of the bottom four with a win against Ekiti United Saturday evening.

The Omoluabi Giants record a back-to-back win for only the second time in a week after defeating Abia Comets 2-1 on Wednesday.

Prime were unchanged for the second game in a row after the
technical crew opted to keep faith with the side which earned victory against Abia Comets during the mid-week.

Ekiti United took the sting out of game; keeping possession well and getting men behind the ball when Prime came forwards.

But just as the Omoluabi Giants were beginning to get frustrated, they broke the deadlock in the 20th minute as Wale Bello, netted his second in two games.

Daniel Israel's cross from the left was allowed to drift all the way to the far post where Bello connected well to nick in the first goal.

In the 45th minute, Bello, was brought down, in the 18 yard box, for referee Mark Osifo, to signal a spot kick and Ifeanyi Emmanuel, stepped up to the penalty spot and tucked it calmly away into the bottom left-hand corner.

Ekiti United had an excellent chance to pull one back in the 58th and 65th minute but Prime keeper, Adewale Olasupo, reacted excellently to produced stunning saves to deny the visitors.

It was a comfortable victory for the Omoluabi Giants, who were rewarded for a dominant display with two goals in the first half.

Prime will travel to Nnewi, next weekend to be a guest to promotion hopeful side, Gabros International Football Club of Nnewi
