Ohanu Michael, scored a 32nd minute goal to hand Gabros International Football Club of Nnewi, win on home soil, beating Prime Football Club 1-0 at the Beverly Inns Hotel Stadium, Nnewi.

The diminutive striker showed his mettle as he touched home for the solitary goal on the Week 25 encounter, which was enough for Gabros, to tie points with
table topper Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan.

Gabros got off to a shaky start but did well to soak up the pressure from their visitors who dictacted most part of the game.

Prime back line failed to clear a well coordinated left cross from Chukwude Stephen, which allowed Ohanu stabbed home past goalkeeper Olasupo Adewale, handing the Nnewi side the lead on 32 minutes.

Prime had the game all their own way as chances fell regularly forcing Gabros into a solid block, before having themselves to blame for Thomas Adeshina one-on-one miss, when he failed to slot home from a sharp delivery into the net.

Prime showed glimpses of the kind of form which made the team so valuable in the Federation Cup, just after the interval, but Gabros's defence stood firm and absorbed plenty of pressure as the Omoluabi Giants looked relentless in attack, searching for a equaliser.
