The management of Nationwide League One side, Fountain Youths Sports Club of Ado Ekiti, has stated that the team was floated to create a platform for empowerment and the development of youths in the town.
The team boss Bayo Olanlege, said they floated the club to serve as a platform to develop and empower the youths in Ekiti State and South West in general.
"Fountain Youths Sports Club will be a model in few years to come that other clubs will emulate. The vision is to ensure total transformation, speedy development as well as entrenchment of true professionalism."
FYSC has produced players for the junior national teams among who are Sunday Alimi of the 2015 Eaglets, Lekan Akinola, Taiwo Adebisi and Ayosunkanmi Oso won Gold with the National U-15 in Botswana.
"We will make sure we put in-place all that will make the team a truly professional side, and it will also serve as avenue to develop our youths. We are looking up to see how exceptional players from our team will form the bedrock of the Super Eagles and leading European club sides."
He stated that they have put in-place all machineries that will make the team a force to be reckon with in Nigeria football.
However, in readiness for the new season, FYSC have acquired a 15 room building to use as camp and has fixed February 15, 2016 as resumption date.
The management has began state trials in 10 states and will organized a 7-Day competition from January 24 to January 30 at the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, where players that will represent the team in the league will be picked.
