Flying Eagles and Manchester City starlet, Kelechi Iheanacho , a revelation at the 2013 FIFA U/17 World Cup shun like a million stars during Manchester City pre-season tour where he scored against Italian giants, AC Milan and MLS team Sporting Kansas.

He played in a recent practice match against Crew’s USL Pro affiliate Dayton and scored a hat trick in the Crew’s 5-1 win while Ben Speas scored the other two goals.
Findings by SL10 revealed that Iheanacho, 17, is expected to train with Columbus Crew till mid October however coach of the team, Gregg Berhalter stated that it's not confirmed he'll join the MLS team permanently.
“It’s a guy who is training here for a period and then he’s going to rejoin Manchester City later in the fall,” Berhalter told Columbus Dispatch
“He wanted a place to train, to stay fit, stay moving and we offered it to him.”
Crew's manager, Berhalter hinted that Manchester City director of football operations, Claudio Reyna approached Crew about finding some time for the Nigerian starlet.
“He has good connections with Manchester City and he wanted to place (Iheanacho) at a club that he can train and I guess similar philosophies, similar values in soccer and we said we’d be glad to help out.” Said Berhalter
