NNL Boss, Inyama Assures On Fair Officiating

After nearly two weeks of forced break, the Nigeria National League (NNL) will resume across the nation today following the decision of the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA) to render their services once again for the good of the game.

Also, the Executive Chairman of the NNL board, High Chief Emeka Inyama has assured the clubs that adequate measures have been put in
place to forestall any act of commission or omission which would bring the game into disrepute.

The NRA had earlier withdrawn their services a situation which led to the temporary suspension of the NNL games by the management and board of the league body in the face of the unforeseen circumstances.

But the NRA has in a letter dated September 10, 2014 sent to the NNL has also informed it of the NRA decision to render their services again hence the resumption of the league actions today, Wednesday, September 17, 2014.

However, the NNL has rescheduled some of the matches affected by the suspension of the league even as the league Secretary; Lawrence Katkem had earlier dispatched circulars to the participating clubs and their State Football Associations (SFA) to ensure full compliance of the new development.

Meanwhile, the NNL boss has assured of adequate monitoring of the league to ensure that there is a level playing field for every team in the competition, adding the management and board of the league body will henceforth beam its searchlight in the direction of all the remaining matches to avoid allegations of foul play.
Inyama hinted that external match assessors have been deployed to all match venues to monitor the games without the knowledge of the clubs that may want to foment troubles.

Fans will be treated to some explosive encounters today especially at the Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan where 3SC popularly called Oluyole Warriors will tackle co-promotion chasing club, Gabross International of Nnewi in what has been tagged the winner takes all battle.

Elsewhere, there will be a local derby between Stationary Stores of Lagos and First Bank FC at the Onikan Waterfront on Lagos Island while table toppers in Division A Mighty Jets of Jos will be the guest of Niger Tornadoes in Minna among other tough matches.
