Stoke City manager, Mark Hughes who brought in Nigeria internationals, Peter Odemwingie in January and Victor Moses on loan early this season has denied having contract talks with Stoke City.
Reports early this week suggests that Mark Hughes was already discussing contract extension with Stoke City but according to Stokesentinel the Potters gaffer, Hughes has firmly denied such reports insisting that he wasn't in a hurry since he still has two more years to go on his current contract though he admitted that the prospect might excite him.
"I saw that," he said about this week's story. "Do you know anything about that? I'm not quite sure where that came from."
Hughes then asked his press officer, "Do we know where that came from?"
The response was a shake of the head, leaving Hughes joking: "Not from the club then. Damn." Stated Stokesentinel
Hughes believes it's up to Stoke City management to determine if he'll stay however, he maintained that he's happy at the Britannia stadium.
"We've had no discussions. It's early days. I'm quite happy here, I'm having a great time at a great club and, if they want me to stay, it will be their choice, and always will be their choice.
"I'm encouraged and enthused by what's happening here and it's great when you get that feeling. I'm delighted with where we are, but there's a lot of work to do and that's something that won't faze me.
"There's continuity and stability here and that's an attraction for managers. We're very fortunate we have that here." Said Hughes
