    The Nigerian who was at the
    2014 FIFA  World Cup in Brazil saw action for 18 minute but suffered a recurrence of the tight thigh he injured in Monday's win over Newcastle but according to Stokesentinel, his coach, Mark Hughes has come up with reasons why he started the Super Eagles player against Sunderland.

    “We had him scanned and nothing showed on the scan. He trained Thursday and Friday and looked good to go. But he felt discomfort and we weren’t going to take a risk.

    “We are hoping it’s nothing serious, but given nothing showed on the scan we’ve got to get to the bottom of what’s causing it.” Hughes stated.
