President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has paid a condolence visit to the former President of the Federation, General Dominic Oneya (rtd) who lost his daughter to an armed robbery attack on Friday last week.
Oneya’s daughter, Franca, a mother of four in her early 30s, was killed by armed robbers who attacked her after she left a bank in Effurun, Delta State on Friday.
Apart from condolence visits paid to the
former Military Administrator of Kano and Benue States, and a former member of the CAF Organising Committee for the Africa Cup of Nations, Pinnick also sent a condolence letter personally signed by him to Gen. Oneya (rtd).

The NFF supremo said the killing of the young woman was regrettable as she was such a promising professional with her future ahead of her.
“We remain totally shell –shocked by this dastardly attack which has snuffed the life out of a shining star in its full bloom. There is no gainsaying that the departed Franca, mowed down in her prime, was on the way to greater things on earth, but even as we loved her so much, we surrender wholeheartedly to the fact that the Almighty God loves her even more.
“On behalf of the Nigeria football family, we deeply mourn with you on this very sad occasion.”
