A private league might come up soon if the information reaching me is any thing to go by.
I had a chat with an official of a
league body in Nigeria about this new project that's propelled by some creative minds and his response was,"it will not and never happen".
I asked, but why? All he kept saying was "it won't excel,it won't happen".
This new project will change League football in Nigeria and it will also compel our administrators to sit up.
Well in brief, a couple of clubs from different states in Nigeria have shown interest to be part of this project. A league that will put smiles in the faces of all participant business wise.
Right now as I speak, some sponsors have shown interest and it will be aired live on local TV. Matches will be played on football friendly pitches and trust me the fans will love this one.
From all indication the league will kick off within months and at least ten clubs have shown interest.
Just like one of the organizers mentioned in a chat, "this is a new project that will change the face of league football in Nigeria, if Kenya can do it then why can't Nigeria do much better".

It is a welcome initiative, the success of which would speed up the transformation of football administration nationally.
