Technical Adviser Crown Football Club of Ogbomosho, Fatai Osho, has insisted that his team can make it to the last four of the Gold Cup Pre-Season Tournament.
The young. tactician made this known when he gave credit to his players after they defeated City of David (COD) United 1-2 in their second game in Ijebu Ode on Sunday.
The Ajilete Valiants recorded their first victory of the championship as they came from behind to beat their Nigeria National League rivals.
During the game, Crown FC fluffed the chance to level scores with COD United via a penalty in the first half some minutes after the Lagos based team converted theirs but was missed, after their striker played it straight into the goalkeeper’s hand.
A delight Osho told newsmen that: "After our loss to Lobi Stars, I had to instill into the players a winning mentality before going into the game against COD United. I must give credit to the players that played against COD Utd; they displayed maturity and the zeal to win despite been a completely different side that took on Lobi Stars."
Osho also informed that his team will take the game to Imperial FC and Remo Stars after their victory made the race for the second spot on the group a four horse affair.
"We are not to take the game with kid gloves, rather tackle our opponent with a view of claiming the 3points as we want to qualify to the semi-finals too."
