As part of its activities in shaping the lives of footballers in Nigeria, PhreeStyle Sport held a seminar for players and officials of Enyimba International Football Club on Thursday at the Uranus Hotel in Uyo.
Coach of the two-time CAF Champions League winners, Paul Aigbogun commended the organisers for putting up a life structuring programme to save lives of players in the country.
"We are glad that things are gradually changing and attention is shifting to players. The lecture is good and perfect but there will be need to involve entrepreneurs and experts in different fields to train our players on things that can improve their financial lives during and after the game such as Information Communication Technology (ICT), and manufacturing of local products," the former Warri Wolves and Cape Town FC gaffer said.
CEO of PhreeStyle Sport, Shogo Shodunnke addressed the team on how to plan their lives during and after their soccer careers.
"We can't continue to deceive ourselves that football is a profession in Nigeria, players who are the stakeholders are facing a lot of challenges and they need to be encouraged and empowered," Shogo Shodunnke said during the seminar.
"Players need to be aware of the challenges in the game, injury is practically guaranteed in football and what tomorrow holds nobody knows. That is why we are using football terminologies and rules to structure the financial lives of our players."
Enyimba FC gave PhreeStyle Sport a pass mark for enlightening Nigerian players on how to plan their present for better future.

In his closing remarks, skipper of the side, Chinedu Udoji thanked the Phreestyle Sport crew for using football terms and rules to structure their financial lives. He pleaded to the Nigeria Football Federation and Club Chairmen to as a matter of urgency initiate insurance policies that will take care of players if injured or ill.
"We are glad that the league is on the rise and the League Management Company must be commended for their world class innovations but more packages should be included such as regular payment of players' salaries, bonuses, redemption of promises as at when due and proper support when offers come for players. The club chairmen needs to take players' welfare serious and provide the necessary support so that players can have resources to start their various businesses," he added
