In a bid to add colour and glamour to the Nigeria Professional Football (NPFL), the New Media Journalists (NMJ) put together a spectacular idea that gave birth to the viral #NPFLLive hashtag.
The #NPFLLive was number four on the top 10 Nigerian Trend table on Wednesday during and after the NPFL matchday two games.
2,913,999 people saw the #NPFLLive since its 1st mention until it became a trending topic.
483 users and 776 tweets (558 RTs) in 2 days made #NPFLLive a trending topic in Nigeria.
"The target is to make the #NPFLLive number one trending topic in Africa," Esther Egbe of the NMJ remarked in an official statement on Friday.
"This can be achievable with more push on the Instagram, Twitter, Whatsapp, Facebook and so on, before and after NPFL matchdays using the hashtag #NPFLLive.
"We can do a lot for the NPFL with more efforts, energy, passion, determination and dedication."
