  • Rotimi has respect for Nigerian League Legend, Ezeji

    Rivers United’s experienced shot stopper, Sunday Rotimi says he has lots of respect for his former team mate, Victor Ezeji who plays his testimonial on Saturday.

    Both players were at Dolphins in 2004 and 2005 when they won the League and Cup double and then in 2007 when the team won the FA Cup.

    Rotimi, has thrown his full weight behind Victor Ezeji as he officially bows out of Professional football with his testimonial game on the 7th of January, 2017.

    In an interview with the Victor Ezeji Testimonial Media, the experienced goalkeeper said he had a lot of respect for the retiring striker who he described as a man of integrity.

    “He is a man of integrity and I respect him so much as one of the veterans in the League,” Rotimi said.

    “He deserves to have that testimonial because he worked had to get to where he is,” Rotimi said.

    Rotimi who has had stints at Enyimba FC, Sunshine Stars, El Kanemi Warriors, Plateau United and the erstwhile Dolphins FC  revealed that for reasons of his intelligence, positioning and all-round quality, Victor Ezeji ranked as the top attacker he has ever had to face in his long career as a goalkeeper.


    The towering Number one advised Ezeji to continue to exhibit the same virtues that brought him this far while hoping he remains within the football family, either as a manager/coach or an administrator so as to continue the good work he started with a glittering career.

    The Victor Ezeji Testimonial holds on the 7th of January, 2017, at the Sharks Stadium, Port Harcourt.
