Newly recruited Adeshina Gata came off the bench to score a brace for Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC in the first Ilorin based side's pre-season match in Lokoja against Federal Medical Centre Football Club (FMC FC) of Lokoja on Thursday in Lokoja.
The Ilorin based side, which gained promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after just concluded Nigeria National League (NNL) season featured mainly players on trial with the club in the first half but introduced a couple of old players in the second half for the keenly contested match.
Former Kwara United youngster, Gata opened the scoring in the 59th minute and added his second of the game three minutes later.
Kehinde Ayinde finished a beautiful move orchestrated by Adeoti Bodekaka Muieez to tape home the third of the match in the 69th minute.
Austine Ekpi muscled an FMC defender to fired home the 4th of the evening in the 71th minute to put the match beyond the host.
Bodekaka who also came off the bench to cap his impactful introduction into the game with a fine finish just on the dot of 90 minute to end the game at 5-0.
Reacting after the match, ABSFC Coach Henry Makinwa, said its just of the games he is using to access his boys to put finishing touches to the team's preparations.
He said his wards will continue their preparations for the new season with a game against Shekarau Babes on Thursday at the Confluence City Stadium, Lokoja.
