El Kanemi Warriors secured the services of Akinbode Jelili who once featured for nigeria National League side Akwa Starlet of Uyo.
The former Akwa Starlets defender has already joined the Borno Warriors after he passed their screening exercises as the Borno side prepares for the 2013/2014 NPFL season which will commence this Friday, 7th of March, 2014.

El-Kanemi Warriors is to help the team achieve their set goals for new season as he promised to play out his heart for the Borno Warriors.
''I 've signed a year contract with ELKANEMI Warriors for an undisclosed fee, which will allow me to play in the NPFL. I've been training with the side for some days and am so happy we finalised the deal, we have concluded plans to start the 2013/2014 NPFL season on a brighter note.
"I'm satisfied with the package as well as the new environment and the players and the coaching crew, I 've been with them for some time now and it's as if i'm at home, and I believe the relationship and atmosphere in the camp will go a long way in our game.
"I'm in Maiduguri for the continental ticket as well as to help ELKANEMI to successfully outing in the league by winning the league title and probably win the Federation Cup," said the former Bolowotan defender disclosed. Akinbode's first assignment will be the Glo Premier League Match day 1 midweek encounter against Warri Wolves on Thursday, March 13, in Warri and the former Akwa Starlets star said he's ready for the duel.
"We are 100% ready for the league opener against Warri Wolves. We'll give them a run for their money when we meet on Thursday in Warri ," Akinbode said.
