NNL Week 7 Preview: Teams Fight For Every Point

The Nigeria National League enters week 7 this weekend and it's interesting to note that a couple of teams have shown intent right from the start to pick a promotion ticket.

In group A, Wiki Tourist of Bauchi who couldn't survive relegation battle in the Nigeria Premier League last season are sitting at the top of the log in group A while Mighty Jet of Jos who also gave a good fight for promotion last season are second on the log. In group B,
Gabros Int'l of Nnewi who beat Unicem Rovers away are topping as 3SC of Ibadan; another traditional team that drowned in the NPL relegation waters last season are second in group B.

Eight teams are already locked in the RED ZONE in both groups but with the points difference between the last team and the first team on the log is just seven points which means every team still has a chance.

Will there be likely away draw this week?

In group A; FRSC FC and TEAP FC of Abuja have drawn 3 games each this term. While TEAP look likely to come back home empty handed, Sokoto United might fancy their chances of picking a point from FRSC.

In group B; MFM FC and Abia Comets are the only teams to have drawn twice away from home. Though MFM have dropped points at home twice as well but Abia Comet did same once at home against Prime FC. Shooting Stars of Ibadan, currently second on the log could run away from Umuahia township stadium with a point while MFM FC who have lost just once this season could force Omoluabi Giant "Prime FC" to share point at their adopted home ground 'Federal Polytechnic Ede Stadium Complex'.
