Bayelsa United, one of the clubs representing Nigeria in the CAF Confederations Cup started their campaign on a bright note after playing out a barren draw against FC Konzo of Congo but treated the Congolese to 2-0 trashing in the return leg.

    The Restoration Boys extended the
victory to the domestic scene as won at home and drew on the road.

When Zimbabwean club, Mine FC emerge as Bayelsa United opponent in the round 2 of CAF Confederations Cup, expectations were high that the Bayelsa base team will get something on the road however it looked like that when the Restoration Boys took the lead in Zimbabwe courtesy of a Bernard Okorowanta's goal in the 47th minute.

The Zimbabweans leveled up in the 60th minute through Kadzola Morris as the fans responded with wild celebration. It looked like the Nigerians will again get another draw on the road but not when a penalty was awarded to the host few minutes to the end of the match.

Menard Mupera stepped up and converted the spot kick to give the home side the needed victory. Bayelsa United who were well received on their arrival in Zimbabwe will have do all they can to get the result that will see them through to the next round of the competition at their adopted home in Sepele.
