Super Eagles striker, Peter Odemwingie got his fourth goal in three games and fifth overall since he move from Cardiff City to Stoke City in the January transfer window. His goal against Hull helped Stoke earn its third straight Premier League victory when the Potters beat Hull 1-0. With that Victory against Hull, Stoke City are now 10th on the log with 40points.
Odemwingie, 32 admitted that
the game against Hull City was one of those difficult games but felt happy that the Potters picked the maximum point.
“Today was one of those difficult games, We felt a difficult game might be coming but on a day like this we are just happy to get all three points,"Peter told Stoke City website.
“They were a hard side to play against and we had to stay disciplined and dig deep as well. Physically and emotionally maybe there was some fatigue after this good run but it’s pleasing that we won.” Said Peter.
The Super Eagles striker, Odemwingie also revealed that he felt physically drained during the game but was pleased to muster enough energy to claim all three points.
“I honestly don’t know how I found enough energy to finish the game today, I lacked a bit of energy throughout because of the way they play with wing-backs meaning as wingers we had to go really deep to help stop them attacking.
Odemwingie might get a call back to the National team since the Super Eagles gaffer, Stephen Keshi admitted recently at a session with the media in Lagos that the Stoke City player has apologized to both the NFF and the Super Eagles technical crew.
Osaze told Stoke City website that he has been in touch with Keshi and NFF and the response looks positive.
“I’ve been in touch with the manager and the Federation as well. It’s looking positive now and we’re mending bridges,"Osaze concluded.
