  • Prime FC Share Points With Abia Comet In Umuahia.

     Prime Football Club on Sunday evening continued their good run inform in the Nigeria National League, as they picked a vital point away from home against Abia Comets.

     The Omoluabi Giants got the curtain raiser in the 5th minute from a well censored cross from enterprising Ifeanyi Emmanuel, to Ibukun Ojo, to steal the ball off the hand of Abia Comets goalkeeper, Ogoke Kingsley.

     Abia Comets came into the game smoking immediately after
    the goal with well coordinated play from midfield marshal, Mark Kelechi, but the defensive network of Prime was too strong for Comets to break as the first half ended 0-1 in favour of the visiting team.

     Abia Comets equalized  in the 94th minute with a controversial goal from Mark Kelechi, off a corner kick from the right flank guided in with his hand.

     Intimidations from Abia Comets team manager Comrade Prince Udofia, on the match officials made the reserve referee to raise 9 minutes added time and incited the fans to descended on the match officials after the regulation time.The centre referee Ogabor J.O, was slapped by an unknown fan before the security officials at the Umuahia Stadium came to his rescue.

     Efforts to get the reaction of Prime Coach, Abimbola Samuel, and Abia Comets coach, Nwakanma Victor, was abortive as the stadium was tensed. Prime will welcome Gateway Football Club of Abeokuta on Saturday at the Federal Polytechnic Ede Sports Complex.
