AS Racine FC have concluded plans to start preparation ahead of the Nigeria National League (NNL) 2016/2017 season.
The 2013 Lagos FA Cup champions who last played in the NNL 19 years ago secured a promotion ticket to the second level football league in Nigeria.
The head coach of the Agege base team, Abidemi Oluwaseyi Oluwasegun who has been at the club since 2012 revealed to Footyalert that AS Racine will resume preparation in the first week of October 2016.
"The journey to secure promotion to the Nigeria National League wasn't easy but the commitment from everyone at the club earned us this important ticket and plans are active going forward. We set a target to pick points on the road and remain invincible at home which we did.
"We shall resume in the first week of October 2016 as we start preparation with 75% of the squad from last season. Though we still target at least five new experienced signings because at this stage we'd love a mix of experience and youth. There will also be a screening exercises at the time too," Abidemi told Footyalert
