    Stadium Review: Warri Township Stadium

The Warri Wolves FC (a Nigerian Premier League team) plays their home games at Warri Township Stadium. The Delta State team Warri Wolves are nicknamed the “Seasiders.” The stadium has an artificial turf and covered stands.

    Food And Beverage

If you plan to see a game at the Warri Township Stadium, it's important you fill your stomach before you enter into the main bowl, as there is not anything to eat inside the stadium. However, there are a lot of options around the stadium.

    Atmosphere

The covered stand adds to an interesting experience, keeping rain or sun light away from spectators in the stand helps to create a relaxed mood. If you've not had a firsthand experience of Nigerian Pidgin English then you'll definitely have one at the Warri Stadium. The comic chants amongst fans in Pidgin English will give you full value for your money.

    Neighborhood

There are restaurants located close to the stadium where you can get food between N200-N2000 ($1.50-$15 USD). There are a couple of hotels within a 10 minute drive from the stadium. Before you return to your hotel, you should see some places in Delta State. The first recommendation is Abraka Beach. Abraka, just 45 minutes from Warri, will offer you natural flowing spring water which will no doubt give you a memorable experience.

    Fans

Warri Wolves fans are always proud of their club even though the Seasiders haven't achieved much in recent years. Warri Wolves FC are one of the big teams in the Nigeria Premier League.

The Delta State FA Cup final has always stood out and it commands a good turnout. The Seasiders have brought African clubs to the Warri Township Stadium during their campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup and the display the home fans offer is always amazing.

    Access

One thing Warri City offers is that you can navigate easily without stress. Two options that will take you to the stadium from wherever you are in Warri are taxi or a tricycle. Rest assured that these two options will serve you well in regards to transport in Warri.

    Return On Investment

A flat rate of N200 (less than two dollars) has been set as the gate fee, but your ticket number could win you an interesting gift in the raffle draw usually done at halftime during a football match. Fans have won some amazing gifts during Warri Wolves matches.

    Extras

There are not a lot of extras at the stadium. There are enough parking spaces and that could go a long way for those that drive to the stadium. If you are at the stadium in the morning, you are likely to see the sight of athletes or teams who are using the stadium for training
