Four clubs have made the semi final stage of the 2016 Caf Champions League with an eye on the $1.5 million prize money.

Group B winner,  Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa)  will have to start another unbeaten run after an excellent run in the group stage that was broken by Nigerian champions, Enyimba FC in a 3-1 loss in Port Hacourt.  The Brazilians had earlier beaten Egyptian club,  Zamalek SC in both legs and defeated the Nigerian at home.

It will be an all Southern African affair as they tackle Zambia club,  Zesco United who survived a tough group that had Al Ahly (Egypt), ASEC Mimosas (Cote d’Ivoire) and Wydad Athletic Club (Morocco) .

While Zamalek SC and Moroccan outfit,  Wydad Athletic Club will square up in the second semi final in an all North African battle.

The first leg will see Zamalek SC host Wydad Athletic Club while Zesco host Sundowns on the weekend of 16-18 September and the return leg is scheduled for the weekend of 23-25 of September.

Apart from the juicy incentives in the group stage of the Caf Champions League, the winner of the competition will represent Africa at the FIFA World Club Cup in Japan later this year.
