    36 Lion FC Put 5 In Peter Rufai's Net, Eyes 1M Oba Cup Jackpot

    Ex-Super Eagles goal keeper, Peter Rufai was in the stand at the Agege stadium when his club, Staruf FC were treated to a thorough football lesson by Badagry based 36 Lion FC in the semi final of the Lagos Oba Cup.

    Dodo Mayana as Rufai is fondly called decided to stay back to see his team after he taught some young football stars the basics of football at the Milo football clinic. Staruf FC, qualified for the semi final stage on penalties against Olukoya Babes but their last four adventure in the Oba's Cup didn't go down as planned as 36 Lion FC got a convincing 5:0 win in the first semi final played at the Agege stadium.


    The first three teams in the Lagos Oba Cup will share N2m, the first team will get N1m while the second team will get N750,000, the second runner up will make do with N250,000. In the second semi final match, Bomblast FC from Ikeja cantonment also gave the fans full value for their time as the barrack boys trashed Asscenders FC from Mushin by 4 goals to nil.

    The chief scout of 36 Lion FC, Hasan Egilmez said after the match that his boys enjoyed themselves, they played to instruction and it's not surprising to get such final score.

    "We had a very good game, we got the result in the first half, came back in the second half to force them to make some mistakes which we capitalized on. " Hasan concluded.

    Fans who are interested to see the final between 36 Lion FC and Bomb Blast FC will have to keep this date " November 21,2013" as the final will be played at the Onikan stadium.
