witness this  history  and  all of us in Cross River State are very proud of your achievement  and it is our prayers that you would be able to sustain this.”

The amiable Governor who has already invited the team to a reception ceremony in Calabar said he would continue to support the NFF because they have ‘shown that they are result-oriented people.”
Meanwhile, Golden Eaglets’ Head Coach, Manu Garba has for the umpteenth time hailed the impact of Governor Imoke as well as the good people of Cross River State.

“It should not be lost on anybody that the architect of the success of the Golden Eaglets is the Governor of Cross River State who supported our camping at different phases in Calabar where we had good facilities under a peaceful environment,” he noted. “Without good preparation, we would not be where we are today and we would forever remain grateful to the people of Cross River State and so many individuals in the state who made us feel welcome right from the first
day we arrived Calabar and stayed for almost two years.”
