    Engage Professionals in the management and administration of football - Kwara football stake holders.


    Kwara State will miss Premier League football next season because the two clubs who bring top flight league action to Kwara township stadium didn't survive the relegation battle as Kwara united (Afonja Warriors) and ABS FC ( Saraki Boys) will feature in the Nigeria National Leaue (NNL) a second tier league in Nigeria.

    Football stake holders in Kwara State met on Wednesday, 20th of November 2013 to plan a way forward, below is the details of the meeting.

    COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF THE KWARA STATE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION ORGANISED STAKEHOLDERS MEETING HELD ON 20TH NOVEMBER 2013 AT THE CONFERENCE ROOM OF THE KWARA STATE STADIUM COMPLEX


    1, The meeting thanked the state government under the leadership of Alh.[Dr.] Abdulfatah Ahmed and Dr. Bukola Saraki for their
    committment and support towards football in the state.


    2, Kwara State Football Association onbehalf of Kwara United Football Club of Ilorin apologised to the entire followers of football in the state and country for the urgly incident that led to the bannishment of the team during the last soccer season


    3, The meeting described the relegation of Kwara United and Abubakar Bukola Saraki[ABS] Football Club as sad and unfortunate and urged the stakeholders to seek ways to address the issues that led to it


    4, The meeting re-echoed the need to arrest and prosecute the culprits in the Kwara United versus Warri Wolves aborted match


    5, The meeting enjoined Kwara United and ABSFC as well as other clubs to see themselves as one in the spirit of sportsmanship


    6, The meeting enjoined Kwara State Government to continue to support Kwara United and football development generally int he state,and at the same time urged Dr. Bukola Saraki to keep supporting ABSFC



    7, The meeting called for constant orientation and education of spectators and supporters in the area of peaceful conduct before,during and after matches


    8, The meeting called on government and football institutions in the state to engage professionals in the management and administration of football


    9, The meeting congratulated Taiwo Awoniyi, a member of the victorious golden eaglets who is an indigene of kwara state and urged the state government to honour him.
