The Super Eagles of Nigeria were not the only team caught in the web of being in the same position, there were
145 countries who didn't change from their previous position amongst the 209 teams on the ranking.

According to FIFA, only 16 friendlies were included since December’s ranking, 11 of which took place in 2014 however a total of 845 matches were played in 2014.

2014 FIFA World Cup champions. Germany have kept their lead intact while both Argentina and Colombia follow. Nigeria may further go down in the February ranking because the current African champions won't be at the 2015 AFCON which would have helped gather more point. The two Friendlies Nigeria's involved in won't make much impact as points from friendly games carry less weight from those secured in competition proper.
