    The new management of Nationwide League One under the leadership of Independent Chairman, Mohammed Alkali, have unveiled it's plans to restructure the third tier league to make it conform professionally in line with world class standard and international best practices so as to attract sponsors.

    Alkali says his board is poised to restructure the Nationwide League One (NLO) before the kick-off of the new season.

    The Nasarawa State FA boss was confirmed as the new boss of the country's grass-root league by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Monday and has promised to use his vast experience in the game to transform the fortune of the NLO.

    “I'm very happy to be named NLO boss, It's a big task ahead for the new NLO management as my vision and primary target for league is to make it a youth oriented one that can attract sponsorship from local and international organization. I will collectively work hard with the CEO and my directors to ensure we have the best league ever.”


    “It is a new dawn for football in NLO, and football in Nigeria. Every steps in life has his own challenges, I am here to add value to the league, and with God on our side we shall excel.”

    Alkali, expressed gratitude to God and thank the leadership of Nigeria Football Federation for giving him the opportunity to serve and promised to put in his very best to attract more sponsors for the league.

    "Aside private firms, some European leagues or clubs too would want to go into partnership with us or the teams in the NLO with a view to make scouting for young and talented players easy,” the soft spoken astute administrator said.
