Only Belgium defender Elderson Echiejile was still making his way to the camp as at Tuesday evening. Coach Rohr and his assistants put the players through their paces twice on Tuesday. They will also train on Wednesday morning before flying to Uyo in the afternoon.
In camp are goalkeepers Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Dele Alampasu; defenders Abdullahi Shehu, Musa Muhammed, Leon Balogun, William Paul Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo, Uche Agbo and Kingsley Madu; midfielders Mikel John Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, John Ogu, Wilfred Ndidi and Oghenekaro Etebo and; forwards Victor Moses, Brown Ideye, Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Odion Ighalo and Ahmed Musa.
Group leaders Nigeria looked sharp in training on Tuesday, and the Fennecs certainly have a mountain to surmount in Uyo on Saturday.
The Super Eagles go into the match on a four –match winning streak, going back to the summer when they defeated Mali 1-0 in Rouen, France and spanked Luxembourg 3-1 in Luxembourg City. Both were friendly matches.
In September, the Eagles pipped Tanzania 1-0 in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo, before edging Zambia 2-1 in Ndola at the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup race on 9th October.
Manchester City of England’s youthful forward Kelechi Iheanacho scored in all four matches.
