Kano Pillars' chairman, Babangida Tukur has revealed that Kadiri Ikhana has been appointed as the Technical Adviser of the team.
The four time Nigerian champions, Kano Pillars finished 7th last season, nine points behind champions Enugu Rangers but Tukur led board have decided to focus on naming a coach, assemble a quality team and prepare the team ahead of the new season.
"Kadiri Ikhana has been selected to handle Kano Pillars for a season and he's saddled with the responsibility to build a team because on practical basis we don't have a strong team yet. Ikhana does have the experience and the target is to secure at least a continental slot for the club.
"We shall unveil Kano Pillars' Technical Adviser, Kadiri Ikhana on Tuesday and then evaluate the team, some players in the team are on loan and we shall look into the team's weak link and secure the services of new players," Babangida Tukur told Footyalert
"Once that has been done, we shall resume camping and hopefully do a tour of the country. We shall also participate in the Gold Cup preseason tournament at Ijebu-ode. So this exercise will afford us a very good opportunity to prepare the team ahead of a tough task ahead," Tukur concludes
