Kano Pillars' winger, Kabir Balogun has urged his team mates to go out and fight for total victory against Niger Tornadoes in today's curtain drawer for the first stanza of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL which will serve as response for their last home defeat to Akwa United.

Pillars suffered a shock home loss to the 'Promise Keepers' in the match day 18 game in Kano courtesy of Christian Pyagbara's early strike into the game.

The Pyramid boys will be taking on a resurgent Tornadoes who are unbeaten in their last five home games in Lokoja and Balogun - who joined Pillars from relegated Ikorodu United in the early season- said they must remain cool and their play their own game in order to salvage a meaningful result.

"It was unfortunate we lost that game to Akwa, the goal just didn't just come for us that day and that early goal helped them to belief, but that's gone now, we have a job to do and it's to win here," Balogun told Footyalert

"We know how difficult it is to get a point here as Tornadoes have totally settled down here, we have huge respect for them and we know that we will need to play even better but we need to be at our very best to win here."

The Kwara Football Academy product maintained that his quick adaptation to life in Kano was down to determination and Coach Kadiri Ikhana.

"Coach Ikhana convinced me to come here, he's like a father to me, he has been encouraging me long before now and I'm happy to be opportune to play under him."

When the offer come, I took it upon myself and look at it as a challenge which I need to face, more so my team mates have helped me a lot to settle down here, Kano is a big city with nice atmosphere to enjoy playing football."
