Plateau United coach, Kennedy Boboye has attributed Nigerian champions, Enugu Rangers poor form to fatigue.
The Flying Antelopes emerge Nigerian champions in 2016 but Boboiye said poor form may not be associated to lack of technical input but fatigue could be the major reason
“Imama Amapakabo is a brilliant coach but it's just unfortunate that his team isn't doing too well as we speak but you will agree that some times, a poor run may not be associated to lack of technical input,”
“Sometimes, fatigue could be a major reason. They play on the continent representing Nigeria and in the league. That means they will travel more without getting enough rest. So situations like that won't allow teams be in their best form.”
“In Nigeria, teams travel by road more and it doesn't come easy. They travel by air when they go for continental engagement but do long journey on the road to honour league matches. Okay look at the distance from Enugu to Maiduguri, it's not an easy task it will tell on the players fitness.”
"This situation at Rangers should be a lesson to every club in Nigeria that proper travelling plans should be put in place. Teams should travel by air more to honour local league matches. The same thing is happening to Rivers United, they will struggle too. It's not proper to travel by air for continental games and then travel by road to honor local league matches."
