    Okoye Enjoying Life In Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus league

    There are strong indications that Yenicami AÄŸdelen Kulubu striker, John Okoye will make a move out of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus league at the end of the 2016/17 season in May.


    The former MFM FC forward who joined the Eagle in July 2016 has scored 30 goals in 24 league matches as Yenicami Ağdelen Kulubu is set to lift the league trophy. Okoye helped the Olukoya Boys secure a promotion ticket to the Nigeria Professional Football League in 2015 and he has continued to make positive impact in the KTFF Süper Lig.

    “It's really a lovely and well cherished memories for me with my teammates then at MFM . The coaches also helped improve more in my abilities. Those moments are still very fresh in my heart,” Okoye told Footyalert

    “I’ve settled in here well and the club have been fantastic. They treated me well and I thank God for everything. I have always put in my best at all times and I am delighted that I helped my team win the league.”

     Okoye, this season became the first player to score five goals in a match, he set a record in the KTFF Süper Lig when he scored five goals in Yenicami Agdelen 9-0 thumping of Lefke.

    That moment the country stood still for that record, I was so happy and I received a lot of gifts from different organisations. That’s one of those numerous special moment here for me. At the moment I don’t know what the next move looks like but I will get to know by the end of the season.”
