Eagles Prepare For Ivorian Synthenthic Antics …As Camp Opens
    Azubuike Egwuekwe

As has become the tradition, Super Eagles goalkeeper and skipper of the side, Chigozie Agbim was the first to arrive camp on Monday afternoon as camp opens for the return leg of the CHAN qualifier final round against the Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire in Abidjan, July 27.

Agbim was soon joined by the likes of Godfrey Oboabona,
Azubuike Egwuekwe, Benjamin Francis, Rabiu Ali and by dinner time almost all the 24 players invited for the crucial tie against the Ivorians had arrived.

The coaching crew who have been locked in several important meetings in the course of the day were impressed by the arrivals but also cautious about the plan by the Elephants to have the game played on artificial turf and have already mapped out plans to ensure that the team will be ready for their antics.

“We learnt from the leadership of the NFF that the game will be played on artificial turf and I must say we were delighted, because we will give our all on such a pitch but we are keeping our plans close to our chest”, team Coordinator, Emmanuel Atta said on Monday evening.

Head Coach Stephen Keshi and his assistants were calm over the development because according to team scribe, Dayo Enebi Achor, “anything they want to throw at us we are sure we have capable hands led by Keshi to counter them”. The Eagles will resume training on Tuesday morning at the FIFA Goal Project site in the Federal Capital and will for now train once in the morning until the technical crew decides otherwise.
