      Alkali: NLO Ready To Exploit LMC Partnership

    President of the Nigeria Nationwide League One, NLO Alhaji Mohammed Alkali has disclosed that the league would make good use of its relationship with the League Management Company, LMC to make the league admirable and improved"

    Alkali who stated this in Abuja at the Annual General Assembly. AGA of the NLO on Wednesday noted that the LMC, the body in charge of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL has built a template and platform for lower leagues to emulate.

    Alkali who is also the Chairman Nasarawa State FA added that his board would be transparent in its activities to attract more sponsors just as he called for support from all stakeholders to the NLO more admirable.

    "We are happy with the progress made so far since the board was inaugurated and we are still looking out to achieve more, this bore down to our partnership with the LMC that have been a shoulder to lean on in terms of orientation and guide on how to run a football league that will be loved by all," Alkali told Footyalert

    "We need set a standard that can match up with the bigger leagues, as you know NLO is the only league that cut across almost all the 36 states and FCT in Nigeria, there's need to build a legacy that others will admire and emulate as well just as we are doing with the LMC.

    This season will be a better one that before, with the support we have at the AGA and Targets we have set, we are confident of a successful league season," the NLO boss said.

    The new 2016/2017 NLO season is expected to kick off on Thursday 4th May, 2017 as approved by the congress.
