    Three Republic of Benin national team stars are currently in Akure to complete a move to Sunshine Stars.

    Former Espoir Savalou (Benin) and FC Cape Town (South Africa) defender, Rock Durand Thuram  alongside AS Police (Benin) Eric Tossavi and ex- junior international forward, Chanou Alao-Ayinla who has previously played for Benin clubs, AS Police and Aspac FC arrived Akure on Wednesday.
    The trio have continued to impress at the Owena Waves home ground and are close to sealing a deal.

    According to the player’s manager, Idowu Ismail Oluwabiyi, the move should be wrapped up after the Easter holiday.

    “We are glad that the three players have shown what they can bring to the table,” Oluwabiyi told Footyalert

    “These are national team players who are also experience. You saw the way Sunshine Stars representatives have spoken well about them.”

    “We hope that the move should be wrapped up immediately after the Easter holidays. Though some clubs have made inquiries about these players, though  they are already in Akure but we shall our options open.”

    Eric Tossavi, a very flexible player who can multitask. He is effective in the central defense, right back and defensive midfield positions.

    Rock Durand Thuram ‘s timely tackles alertness has attracted him more to Sunshine Stars representatives while Chanou Alao-Ayinla has shown the bite needed upfront.

    While some Nigerian do not appreciate their own league, other nations are coming into the Nigerian league in droves. We have Senegalese in Rangers, Benin Rep in Akwa, MFM, Plateau. A Niger guy in Elkanemi, Malian in Ifeanyiubah, Congolese in Ifeayiubah, Ivorien in Rivers United, Ghanaian in Rangers and Enyimba. Cameroonian in IfeanyiUbah and a lot more
